Outfit of the Day! It’s the first of February and that means Fatshion February! YAY. I am going to try and actually do this properly.

Dress: vintage, thieved, approximately NZ size 12 - 14. It fits okay in the waist, which would imply a 12 but is much more of a 14 in the bust, I do not fill it in very well.

Cardigan: Jump, size M.

Shoes: Garage, size 9.

Weird cat-brooch thing: Bought at a country fair.

Outfit of the Day! Job interview outfit number two!

Well, outfit of yesterday. I had two job interviews in two days on pretty much either end of the country so it has been a little bit nuts. The other interview obviously required a much more plain mode of dress, but a trendy dog salon allowed me to be a little more vicarious. Plus, I was basically offered the job, yay!

Dress: Vintage, thieved, appears to be home-made. Approximate size 12.

Shoes: Garage, 9.

Belt: Thrifted.

Stockings: Voodoo Vintage, XT.

Coat: Vintage, thieved.

Petticoat: Thieved, Mom bought a child’s bee costume because she liked the petticoat.

Uh oh, today we’ve been looking through suitcases and now I have a pile of dresses to add to my already unsettlingly enormous pile of dresses. I wish I could have documented the effort it took to get into the second black dress. Three people and an extensive amount of concern for the zip. You know because I don’t usually look that skinny ever.

Also that playsuit is GIVING ME LIFE right now although Mom insists I am not allowed to keep it. I’ll see if I can convince her otherwise.

In a sudden rush of optimistic excitement, probably induced by wearing squishy, complicated underwear all day, I decided to drag some of my vintage goal dresses out of the box of too-small shame and try them on. By Jove, THREE of them fit. That’s out of about eight but do keep in mind I never expected these dresses to fit me in my lifetime.

I am sleeping at my grandmother’s tonight and I really don’t know why I don’t stay here every night. I turned up and I have been upgraded from the teeny bunk-beds of my childhood to the fancypants spare bedroom. She was like ‘I BOUGHT YOU SOME PJS’ and they’re there on the towel warmer super warm and there are CATS and so much food I am so content.

So this dress is awesome but it’s REAL tight on my butt and I can’t sit very well. I had to hoist it up around my butt to drive and some guys driving a garbage truck saw my suspenders and stockings. Also it’s a little too short and the tops of my stockings show a bit. OH WELL.

Dress: vintage, thieved.

Stockings: Voodoo Vintage.

Shoes: vintage, thieved.

What a terrible photo of these lovely dresses. Anyhow, I have kind of run out of goal clothes, which I guess is a silly thing to complain about. So mom opened up a few bags of clothes from the shipping container full of ‘em and let me have a few. They’re too small for me right now, so new goal dresses!!
I have that mustard one hanging up in my room. I want to wear it so bad. I miraculously lost eight pounds this week so I guess it’s working!
